Global Climate Change (how does it affect tutoring?)

Hello dear tutors!

We were pretty consistent this week–we had similar utilization statistics to last week, which itself was a slight decrease from the week before.

However, this week the epic Nor’easter hit Boston, and school has been a bit quieter than usual. Professors often notice worse attendance during big storms, and it seems that we are experiencing a similar phenomenon in the tutoring center.

What do you think? Do you believe serious weather conditions impact how many students we see in tutoring? Do your experiences back this theory up?

What about the future–if climatologists predict that storms will worsen in coming years due to global climate change, how should that impact our tutoring practices?

I would love to hear your thoughts!
