We are in the process of posting a few new positions. We need a new chemistry peer tutor, a new biology peer tutor, new ACS peer tutors/peer success coaches, and we need a new ESOL peer tutor.

Science tutors are so popular these days! Why is that?
Here are a few reasons:
1. Science professors know about tutoring in their field. They like to send students to us.
2. We used to have more science tutors! Several of them stopped tutoring at RCC recently.
3. Some of our science tutors have had to cut back their hours! They’re still around, but only for a few hours per week.
4. Not every “science” tutor can help with every class. Biology people can’t do advanced chem, and vice versa. This means we need to have bio and chem and A&P.
5. There are a lot of students taking science classes at RCC! Many of our majors have science requirements.
and last but not least:
6. SCIENCE IS HARD! Unfortunately, some science classes have low pass rates. So our science tutors are super useful! Thanks, guys! You save the day for many a student. Three cheers for science! Hip hip, hooray!
